UNB, Dhaka :Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) staged protests by blocking road in front of the university as one of their fellow students sustained injuries in a road accident near the campus on Sunday.The injured was identified as Anika Tasnim Onna, a 3rd year student of Architecture Department of the university. Witnesses said, Onna sustained injuries when a speeding microbus hit her while crossing the road in front of BUET main gate around 9am. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.Agitated by the incident, BUET students vandalised the microbus and also blocked the road from BUET campus to Palashi intersection demanding proper action against the responsible driver. The students also demanded a police box in the Palashi intersection.
