The government has appointed Dr ABM Badruzzaman, a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), as the vice-chancellor (VC) of the university.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued a notification on Thursday. The notification says with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Dr ABM Badruzzaman has been appointed as VC of Buet in accordance with the university’s law.
The appointment conditions specify that his term as vice-chancellor will be four years. He will receive a salary and benefits equivalent to his current position and will enjoy other related perks.
