BUCSU constitution approved by syndicate

The constitution of the Barishal University Central Students’ Union (BUCSU) has been approved by the university syndicate.

The approval was granted during the 92nd syndicate meeting of the university on Saturday.

On Thursday, 27 November, the draft constitution of BUCSU was approved by the university’s Academic Council. The draft constitution was first published on 30 October.

Subsequently, it was revised through discussions with students in two phases and then approved by both the Academic Council and the Syndicate.

According to the constitution, the name of the student union in English, it will be Barishal University Central Students’ Union (BUCSU).

Syndicate member Dr. Hafiz Ashraful Haque said, “The BUCSU constitution has been approved by both the Academic Council and the Syndicate of Barishal University.

It will now be sent to the ministry, and from there, it will be forwarded to the President for final approval.”
