Md. Abdullah Mridha has been appointed as the new Registrar (Current Charge) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), replacing the previous incumbent.
The appointment was approved by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. G.K.M. Mustafizur Rahman, on November 4, through an official order. Md. Abdullah Mridha assumed his duties on November 5, 2024, reports press release.
Before his appointment, Mr. Mridha had been serving as the Deputy Registrar in the Registrar’s Office at BAU. Hailing from Padtala village in Shibpur upazila, Narsingdi, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Administration from the University of Chittagong. He also holds an LLB degree. In addition to his academic qualifications, Mr. Mridha has worked in various government and private institutions over the years. He is also actively involved with several social and religious organizations.
