BSF pushes 13 people at Pirganj border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is pushing 13 people, including women and children, at the Pirganj border under Thakurgaon district on Tuesday (June 3). Pirganj police with the help of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) handed them over to their families. Earlier, on Tuesday morning, BSF forcibly entered Bangladesh from the 341/4S area of the fakirganj border of Sengaon union at Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

At that time, the border guards arrested the suspects. The arrested persons are identify: Jahdul Islam (39), son of late Akhtar Ali, Roznia Bogem (23), wife of Jahdul Islam, son Ramzan Ali (04) of Chondrakona village of Fulbari Upazila of Kurigram district. and
Shaheen Ali (28) son of Jobed Ali, wife Roznia Bogem (25), son Yasni (10), daughter Murshida (07), Abu Bakkar (03) village Shimulbari and Shafqul Islam, son of Abdul Halmir (31), wife of Shafqul Islam, Nur Nahar (25), son Nur Alam (09), daughter Sumaiya (07) and Sumna (05) from the Boalbir area of the Upazila.

Company Commander Abu Bakar Siddiqui of the Fakriganj BSF camp said that 13 people, including women and children, from three Bangladeshi families living in India, were forcibly taken into Bangladesh by BSF members at the Berhampur camp in India through the Fakriganj border in Upazila at night. At that time, the BSF members arrested them. Out of the 13 arrested, 7 children, 3 women and 3 men, were children. They have been living in Delhi, India for a long time. BGB were handed over them to the Pirganj police station in the afternoon.

Pirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Tajul Islam said that the Bangladeshi citizenship of the arrested people was verified and they were handed over to their families.
