BSF arrests three Bangladeshi youths

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested three Bangladeshi youths on suspicion of smuggling while they were fishing at the Kulaura border in Moulvibazar. They were arrested from the Haripur area of Lalarchak BOP in Sharifpur union of the upazila on Thursday midnight.
BSF The arrested are Sohag Mia (23), son of Anu Mia, a resident of Sanjarpur village in Sharifpur union of the upazila, Masuk Rahman Monturi (20), son of Jalal Mia of Haripur village, and Sipar Ahmad (22), son of Tayyab Ali Daga Mia.
According to local sources, Sohag, Masuk and Sipar were fishing in the Haripur area of Sharifpur Union inside the Bangladesh border on Thursday night. At that time, the BSF arrived and arrested them on suspicion of smuggling.
Mainul Mia, brother of Masuk Rahman Monturi, who was detained by the BSF, said, “On Thursday night, while we were fishing inside the Bangladesh border, 15-20 BSF personnel came and detained my brother and two others. At that time, there was no electricity in the border area.
I have informed the local BGB about the matter, they say they are looking into the matter. I have received news that the BSF handed over the detainees to Irani police station in India on Friday.
In this regard, Sharifpur Union BNP President and former UP member Harun Mia said, I heard from the locals
They had gone to the border area to fish on Thursday night. Later, the BSF came and arrested them. The matter has been reported to the BGB.
In this regard, 46 BGB (Sreemangal) Commander Lt. Colonel ASM Zakaria did not answer his phone when contacted multiple times.
