BRAC Bank expands digital banking footprint

BRAC Bank PLC stated that its digital banking platform, Astha, has emerged as a widely used channel for retail banking by combining trust, innovation, and financial inclusion.
The bank stated that Astha currently has more than 1.1 million users and processes over Tk20,000 crore in transactions each month, bringing banking services directly to customers across Bangladesh through a secure and accessible digital platform. Astha offers more than 120 integrated services, including interbank fund transfers, DPS and term deposit management, insurance payments, cardless ATM withdrawals, consumer loans, BanglaQR payments, Visa card transfers, and integration with bKash. The platform is used by a broad customer base, ranging from micro-merchants in small towns to urban professionals.
According to BRAC Bank, nearly 71 per cent of the bank’s total transactions are now conducted through Astha, reflecting growing customer confidence in digital banking.
