BR to operate more trains for Eid-ul-Azha

Bangladesh Railway has decided to operate 10 pairs of trains on different routes to ease the journey for holidaymakers traveling to their hometowns to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with their families.

These special trains will start running on Wednesday, ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, the largest religious festival for the Muslim community, which will be celebrated on June 17.

According to the action plan of Bangladesh Railway, the “Chandpur Eid Special” will run on the Chittagong-Chandpur-Chittagong route for seven days starting on Wednesday.

Additionally, the “Dewanganj Eid Special” on the Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka route, “Mymensingh Eid Special” on the Chittagong-Mymensingh-Chittagong route, and “Cox’s Bazar Eid Special” on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong route will carry passengers to their destinations.

These trains will operate from Wednesday until the day before Eid-ul-Azha and will continue for seven days after the festival. The “Parbatipur Eid Special” will run on the Joydevpur-Parbatipur-Joydevpur route from June 13-15 and again after Eid on June 21-23.

The “Sholakia Eid Special” will run on the Bhairab Bazar-Kishorganj-Bhairab Bazar route, another “Sholakia Eid Special” on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj-Mymensingh route, and the “Gor-e-Shahid Eid Special” on the Parbatipur-Dinajpur-Parbatipur route and the Thakurgaon-Dinajpur-Thakurgaon route only on Eid days.

During religious festivals like Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, holidaymakers often choose train services for a comfortable journey.
