The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket will begin today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Sylhet Titans will take on Rajshahi Warriors in the day’s first match, which will kick-off at 3.00pm, while Noakhali Express will face off Chattogram Royals in the day’s second match, which will start at 7.30pm. Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast all the matches live. All the games will be held on T20 format.
A total of six teams will take part on double league basis in the first phase of the competition. They are: Sylhet Titans, Rajshahi Warriors, Noakhali Express, Chattogram Royals, Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders.
A number of 12 matches will be held at the Sylhet International Stadium. After the Sylhet chapters, a total of 12 matches will be held at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country.
After completing the Chattogram phase, rest of the 10 matches will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
The Eliminator phase, the first Qualifier, the second Qualifier and the final will be held at the ‘Home of Cricket’. It may be mentioned that it is the 12th edition of the BPL Cricket, the most prestigious domestic meet of the country.
