Chittagong Bureau :
A seven-year-old boy succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after allegedly hacked his paternal uncle on Wednesday .
The victim was identified as Mohammad, son of Nejam Uddin of Banshkhali upazila. Saiful Islam, maternal uncle of the victim, said Kashem Uddin, paternal uncle of the victim, killed his nephew over family feud.
“Kashem hacked his nephew with a sharp weapon at around 2 pm, finding him alone, he said, adding that the first grader was rushed to CMCH where he died around 11 pm on Tuesday.
However, Kashem and his wife fled the area after the incident.
The family members of the victim are preparing to file a case accusing two, including Kashem, while Banshkhali police are yet to arrest any suspect involved in the killing.
