Country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday witnessed a choppy session and ended remained afloat on the first trading day of the week.
Throughout the session index displayed a mix trend and the bargain hunter investors took position on sector specific issues considering lucrative price level.
The broad index, DSEX closed at 4717.39 points on Sunday with a gain of 7.02 points or 0.14 percent.
Besides, the two selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 and the Shariah index, DSES also went up by 4.12 points and 2.77 points to settle at 1642.36 points and 1083.69 points respectively.
On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 120,073 trades were executed in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 125.84 million securities.
Gainers took a strong lead over the losers as out of 348 issues traded, 167 securities gained price while 124 declined and 57 remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers were BD Auto Cars, Kay & Que, Zemini Sea Food, RD Food, Miracle Industries, Monno Ceramics, Anlima Yarn, Matin Spinning, Vanguard AML BD and Libra Infusion.
National Tubes topped the turnover chart followed by BSCCL, Sonarbangla Insurance, Lankabangla Finance, Standard Ceramics, Wata Chemicals, National Polymer, Rupali Life Insurance, Global Insurance and Shurwid Industries.
