Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi said, the state belongs to all the people. If the state is damaged, everyone will be damaged. He said, the state has not made any progress in the past. Some people have made their own progress at the individual level. Now everyone has to work for the development of the state. People’s respect and dignity have to be established.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the workshop on Development and Potential of Tourism Industry of Sylhet Division organized by the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Sylhet on Thursday morning.
Additional Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet (General) Debjit Sinha presided over the special guest speeches by Sylhet City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Rezai Rafin Sarkar and Sylhet Deputy Director (Local Government) of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Suborna Sarkar.
The keynote address was presented by environmental activist and organizer Abdul Karim Kim, while the keynote speaker was Architect Kaushik Saha, Associate Professor, Department of Architecture, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
