A dead body of a youth named Alam Farji (38) was recovered by the police from the village Bhasandal within Nishanbaria Union under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagehat district on Monday (May 13) afternoon at 2 pm. He was the son of one Abdur Rob Faraji of the same village and the family members are trying to prove the death of the youth as a suicide. But the police suspected that the youth was, perhaps, killed in a pre-planned way. So, mother Rahima Begum (65), brother Badsha Faraji (45) and sister Rexona Begum were taken to police custody for interrogation. Alam Faraji left wife and 2 children.
Mother Rahima Begum told, her son Alam was mentally imbalanced for a long. So, he was always fastened with chain. At Sunday (May 12) night at 1 am he was chained with a tree behind the dwelling house. In the following morning he found him dead and a rope was twitched with his neck.
Being informed of the matter Ashikur Rahman, Additional Police Super of Morrelganj Circle visited the place of occurrence. Mohammad Shamsuddin, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS told, the death of Alam Faraji is mysterious and nobody made complaint to the police so far and that is why the mother, brother and sister were taken to the PS for interrogation. If we get any complaint from any body legal action will be taken.
