Body of missing driver recovered

The police have recovered the body of an CNG-run autorickshaw driver named Rakibul Islam Rocky (20) from Narsunda river after three days of missing in Kishoreganj.

His body was recovered from the river on the north side of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital in Josodal area on Monday morning.

Family members said that on Friday afternoon around 5:00 pm, Rocky went out to rent an auto-rickshaw.

At around 9 pm, he called his mother from another number and told his mother that his mobile had no charge, so it was switched off.

Rocky has been missing ever since.

A general diary was made at the Sadar Model Police Station without finding him after many searches. Later, the police arrested a person on the basis of that number.

According to the information given by the detainee, an operation was carried out to recover the body in Narsunda river in Jashodal area on Sunday but the body was not found.

When contact to Officer-in-charge (OC) in. Kishoreganj model police station Mohammad Daud confirmed the matter t and also said that the body of the missing Rocky was recovered from the Narsunda river on the north side of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital around 10 am on Monday.

The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Legal action will be taken in this case.
