An urgent meeting of the BNP national standing committee held at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan at 8:30 pm on Monday.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has called the meeting, Shamsuddin Didar, an official of the BNP chairperson’s press wing, told journalists.
Tarique Rahman chaired the meeting virtually.
The meeting was ongoing till 10:05 while filing this report.
The party’s policy strategy and new decisions discussed in the meeting, said the sources.
The members of the party’s standing committee Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Dr. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Professor Selima Rahman, Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir participated the meeting.
