BNP on Thursday instructed its party members to ensure that leaders from other political parties or non-political individuals do not join any committee, from the central to the ward level, or its affiliated organisations.
The instruction was issued through a press release signed by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
“It has been observed with deep concern that various political organisations of the deposed Awami League government are making various efforts, resorting to different strategies, to infiltrate and seize positions within BNP and its affiliated organisations,” Rizvi said.
He also said an organisation called “Zia Cyber Force” has already announced a committee at Pabna Science and Technology University under the name of Chhatra Dal, appointing some Chhatra League leaders. “It’s a completely deceptive move.”
“Such efforts are being made by associates of autocrats. Leaders at all levels of the party must remain alert and cautious in this regard,” Rizvi said.
He also pointed out that several unknown organisations have been carrying out activities under the names of BNP Founder Ziaur Rahman, Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and the term “Jatiyatabadi.”
Despite the party having previously clarified that these groups are not part of BNP, Rizvi said these fraudulent cliques continue to establish various fake organisations using the names of BNP and its top leaders.
“We once again urge the leaders and activists of BNP, as well as all its affiliated bodies, to be careful against these fake organisations,” he said.
Rizvi called upon the leaders and workers of BNP and its unit and affiliated organisations at all levels to adhere strictly to the party’s instructions.
