NN Online :

A delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is scheduled to meet Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus tomorrow to discuss the current political situation.

The meeting will take place at the State Guest House Jamuna around 12 noon, a senior official from the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) confirmed that.

Senior BNP leaders said the party will urge Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to make a clear and definitive statement on the election timeline, aiming to end the ongoing uncertainty surrounding whether the polls will be held in December or pushed to June.

They noted that the party will present logical arguments and justifications for holding the national election within this year—preferably by December.

Additionally, the BNP will call on the interim government to expedite the reform process and complete it by June, to address public concerns over a potential delay in the name of state restructuring.

Party leaders emphasized that if their demands are met and a firm commitment is made, BNP will fully shift its focus to preparing for the elections and formulating strategies to win public support.
