The 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been celebrated. On this occasion, the party and national flags were hoisted at the district BNP office at 8 am. Then, wreaths were placed at the portrait of former President Ziaur Rahman. A colorful rally was taken out from the district circuit house ground at 12 noon. The rally ended at the district BNP party office after circumambulating the main roads of the city.
BNP Rajshahi Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary AHM Obaidur Rahman Chandan, BNP National Executive Committee member Faisal Alim, District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan, Joint Convener Abdul Wahab, District Krishak Dal Convener Selim Reza Duke, Member Secretary Manjure Maula Palash, City BNP General Secretary Abu Raihan Ujjal, Former District Jubo Dal Convener ATM Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvro, Former Member Secretary Moktadul Haque Adnan, District Chhatra Dal President Mamunur Rashid Pradhan, Acting General Secretary Raisul Islam Ripon, along with leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates, participated in the rally.
During this time, the leaders deeply remembered the founder of the party, martyred President Ziaur Rahman. They wished the health of three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and the Prime Minister of the future Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, and the Zia family.
