Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) is an organisation actively involved in combating cybercrimes against women and girls in Bangladesh, conducting research, raising awareness, and advocating for stronger legal action. Mohila Parishad saids that Women and girls are suffering from extreme insecurity. Heinous crimes likes rape continue to occur. In Kishoreganj, focuses on the prevalence of gender-based violence (GBV) and cyber violence, especially how technology has facilitated new forms of harassment.Advocacy and Awareness related discussion meetings, seminars, and human chains to address the reality of cyber violence, often in observance of events like World Human Rights Day. An exchange views meeting held at Mohila Parishad office conference room on Saturday, while district president advocate Maya Bhowmick in the chair. It was addressed among others, by Senior advocate, and veteran Freedom Fighter Nasiruddin Farooki, Ferozuddin Bhuiyan, Senior journalist Alam Sarowar Tito, Tajuddin Ahmed Bakul, Senior journalist Mostafa Kamal, CPB district general secretary Ranjit Sarkar, Kamrun Nahar, Shafiq Kabir, Faridul Alam of POPI an NGO, and Mohila Parishad district general secretary Atia Hossain.
Later, BMP’s legal aid sub-committee provides assistance to victims of harassment and works towards reforming discriminatory laws.
