Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted that light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over three divisions located at south and south-eastern areas of the country for the next 24 hours beginning from Saturday morning.
“Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country”, said a Met office weather bulletin here on Saturday.
The Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved northwestwards and intensified into a Cyclonic storm “Fengal” (pronounced as FEINJAL) and now lies over the same area at 06 AM on Saturday (30 November 2024).
It is likely to move northwesterly direction further and may cross North Tamil Nadu – Puducherry coast during evening on Saturday (30 November, 2024). Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
