Al Jazeera :

At least 23 Palestinians have been killed in a flurry of Israeli attacks on Khan Younis this morning, with strikes hitting a displacement camp that Israel has designated as a “humanitarian” zone, and several homes.

Hungary announced it will withdraw from the International Criminal Court, which has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli PM Netanyahu, as he continues his visit to the European Union country.

Israel’s military has confirmed carrying out new attacks on Syria’s Damascus, Hama and Homs governorates. Local authorities say nine people were killed.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 50,423 Palestinians are confirmed dead and 114,638 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. The Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble are presumed dead.

At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attacks and more than 200 were taken captive.

The Israeli army said it is further investigating an attack on ambulances in Gaza carried out by its forces, which killed humanitarian workers from the UN, the civil defence and the Palestine Red Crescent.

The workers had disappeared on March 23 after going to help people who had come under Israeli fire in the southern city of Rafah.

What followed was a week of Israeli obstruction until international teams were finally able to enter the area where the medics and rescue workers were found in a mass grave.
The Israeli army claims it “opened fire targeting terrorists advancing in ambulances”.

The case, a spokesperson said, has now been transferred to the General Staff’s Fact-Finding and Assessment Mechanism.

Houthis claim missile attack on US carrier, citing recent air strikes as cause
Houthi fighters claim to have attacked the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman in the north of the Red Sea with several cruise missiles and drones.

According to the Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV telegram channel and SABA state news agency, the group said it struck the vessel in response to 36 raids launched by Washington “in the past few hours”.

The strikes hit the Sanaa and Sadaa governorates, among others, resulting in an unspecified number of deaths and injuries, the reports said.

The attack comes a day after Al Masirah TV reported the killing of four people in US strikes on the Hodeidah region.
