Business Desk :

bKash has introduced RFID-based toll payment on the Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover, allowing four-wheelers to pass without stopping.

Cars, jeeps, microbuses, pickups, and other vehicles can now pay tolls automatically through bKash using RFID scanners, enabling seamless passage across the country’s longest flyover.
Registration booths have been set up at various points of the flyover for vehicle owners to register and collect RFID stickers. Dedicated RFID lanes have been introduced, where the toll barrier opens automatically once the sticker is scanned, says a press release.

For motorcycles, QR-based registration is also underway. Riders can pay tolls instantly by scanning a QR code with the bKash app at the toll point.

Besides the registration booths, customers can register digitally by selecting “Jatrabari-Gulistan Flyover” from the “Toll” option in the bKash app, submitting necessary information, and verifying via OTP.

After confirmation, they can collect their RFID sticker from the nearest booth.
Customers can also purchase trips directly from the bKash app by selecting “Add Trip” under the “Toll” option and then paying with bKash.

To encourage adoption, bKash is offering 10% cashback (up to Tk100 per day, maximum Tk100 per month) on trips purchased through the app until 30 September 2025.
This initiative eliminates cash transactions at the toll plaza, reduces waiting time, and ensures a faster, safer, and more convenient travel experience for commuters.
