Birth centenary implementation body pays homage to Bangabandhu

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation
Committee on Wednesday paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking the 101st birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation and National Children’s Day-2021.
On behalf of the implementation committee, Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury placed wreaths at the mural of the Father of the Nation in front of the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the city, said a press release.
The officials and employees of the office of the implementation committee also paid homage to the Father of the Nation by laying a wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu.
Bangladesh is celebrating ‘Mujib Year’ with added zeal and fervour with the addition of another momentous milestone for Bengalis: the golden jubilee of its independence.
A 10-day programme has been organised to mark the occasions, beginning on
Bangabandhu’s birthday from today before drawing the curtains on Mar 26, the
50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence.
