Biren Sikder visits Bangladesh athletes at Asian Games

State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP, surprised everyone in the Bangladesh contingent by making his visit at the Asian Games Village at Incheon on Saturday.
He was accompanied by Chairman of the Parliament Sports Committee Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, his wife Mrs. Tahera Khadeja, Nahim Razzaq, MP, Kabirul Haque, MP, joint secretary of Sports Ministry Zakir Ahmed and PS to Sports Minister Ranjit Kumar Das.
The State Minister was received by Chef-de-Mission and BOA’s Vice President, Shaikh Bashir Ahmed Mamun and Deputy chef-de- Mission and BOA’S Deputy Secretary General Badal Roy and team doctor Prof. Dr. Zakir Ahmed.
Biren first visited the Bangladesh women Athletes’ rooms and inquired their welfare whether they were facing any problems. Bangladesh women athletes welcomed the state minister. He also met ace shooter Abdullah Hel Baki, the silver medalist at recently held Commonwealth Games and inquired about his preparation and then had a photo session with him.
Biren Sikder urged the athletes to give their best and bring laurel for the country.
Zahid Russell said the government would not only send athletes at international competition but also send coaches abroad who can come back groomed athletes at grass root level.
