Lux beauty and actress Afsan Ara Bindu married businessman Asif Salahuddin Malik in 2014. After marriage, she completely withdrew from showbiz. She left acting and became a family woman.
After four years of marriage, there were rumours that Bindu’s family had broken up. However, neither Bindu nor her husband said anything about the separation at that time. Finally, the actress confirmed her separation. Bindu recently said at an event that she had separated in 2022.
Although they separated in 2022, Bindu had been separated from her husband since 2017. After five years, they finally decided to separate.
Bindu said, “Many people think that I am still married. But no, I’m divorced. My family journey was very short.”
Explaining the reason for the separation, Bindu said, “Sometimes there are big reasons for separation, big events happen. Sometimes there is no need for such a reason. There is another person involved in this journey of mine.
He also has a personal life. I don’t want to put him in an embarrassing situation by giving any explanation about the separation.”
Bindu started her showbiz journey with the Lux Channel i Superstar competition in 2006. She became a regular face in the media in a short time. Before taking a break from acting, she acted in 52 dramas aired on Eid-ul-Azha in 2014 alone.
Apart from the small screen, Bindu has also acted in movies. At the beginning of her career, Bindu paired up with Arifin Shuvoo and acted in many dramas. Their pair was very popular on screen. The on-screen chemistry had an impact on the real life of both of them. Once, Bindu was in a love relationship with Shuvoo.
The actress has also admitted to that love. Why did their relationship break up? Bindu’s short answer was, “I don’t have the answer. There is no such thing as the journey of two people ending together at the same destination.” After a break of almost a decade, Bindu returned to acting in 2023 with the web film ‘Unish20’.
In it, directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan, Bindu was opposite Arifin Shuvoo. However, Bindu was not seen in any other work after that. However, she wants to act regularly.
In this regard, Bindu said, “I am ready to work as an actress. Now I have to think about working with me, about investing in me. I want to do the kind of work that I have not done yet. I want the producers to think about me in a way that was not thought of before.”
Bindu left acting and got involved in business about five years ago. She has a boutique house in Gulshan. Bindu designs the clothes of this brand called ‘Afsan Bindu Designer Studio’ herself.
When Bindu started the company in 2020, she had only one employee. However, the actress said that now 15 people work with her, she said.
