The Bangladesh Publishers and Book-sellers Association (BAPUS) has planned to organise the ‘Bijoy Book Fair 2025’ for the first time.
The 12-day book fair will be held on the Bangla Academy premises from December 10. The organisers shared the information at a press conference held this morning at the Al-Mahmud Lekhok Corner of Bangla Academy. Speaking at the press conference, BAPUS Director Abul Bashar Firoz Sheikh said, “We will try to hold this fair every year from now on, making it a prestigious addition to our national cultural tradition.”
He said the Bijoy Book Fair is expected to emerge as a vibrant event closely connected to national life, with the participation of around 200 publishers, thousands of readers, special events for children and teenagers, documentaries on the Liberation War, and a wide range of book-centered social festivities.
