Shinepukur Cricket Club posted a big 77-run victory over Partex Sporting Club in their first match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the BKSP Ground-4 in Savar on Tuesday.
Put into bat first, Shinepukur Cricket Club made a satisfactory 298 for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 50 overs and then all out Partex Sporting Club for 221 off 49.5 overs.
Rayhan Rafsan of Shinepukur hit a captain’s knock of 87. His 81-nall innings had seven fours and three sixes.
Anik Sarkar notched up a superb 77. His 78-ball innings was laced with four sixes and five fours.
Zubaer Hossain remained unbeaten with 39 runs. His 14-ball windy innings saw four sixes and a four.
Minhajul Abedin Sabbir made 30 from 35 balls including two fours and a sixer.
Mohor Sheikh, Alauddin Babu, Shahidul Islam, Muktar Ali, Ahrar Amin took one wicket apiece.
Later, Rafiuzzaman Rafi played the key role in wrecking Partex’s innings. He captured three wickets in the space of 14 runs. He was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Al Fahad grabbed three wickets instead of 50 runs, while Md Rahim Ahmed bagged two wickets giving 35 runs.
Mohammad Walid and Shariful Islam picked up one wicket each.
Jawad Royen and Rubel Mia were the two notable scorers for Partex Sporting Club.
Jawad Royen hit 46 from 67 deliveries including three fours.
Rubel Mia made 40 from 65 balls with two fours and a sixer.
