Bangladesh Cricket team posted a big 34-run win over Oman Cricket team in their Pool-D match of the Hong Kong Sixers at Mong Kok in Hong Kong on Friday. The match was a six-over affair.
Sent into bat first, Bangladesh piled up a massive total of 147 for the loss of none in the allotted six overs and restricted Oman to 113 for the loss of five wickets in six overs. According to the rules of the tournament, if a batter scores a half-century, the batter will left the field.
Opener Jishan Alam cracked a quick-fire 55. He hit eight sixes and one four in his 12-ball innings before he was retired hurt.
Opener Yasir Ali remained unbeaten with 26 runs. He struck two sixes and three fours.
One-down Mohammad Saifuddin notched up a hurricane 55. He hit seven sixes and three fours in his 12-ball knock before he was retired hurt. He was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Abu Hider remained unbeaten with four runs.
Openers Vinayak Shukla and Zikra Islam of Oman put on together 36 runs before Shukla was dismissed by Mohammad Saifuddin.
Shukla hammered 29 from eight deliveries including four sixes and four fours.
Opener Zikra Islam (11) was dismissed by Sohag Gazi when Oman’s total was 52 for the loss of two wickets.
One-down Mukibur Ali remained unbeaten with 20 runs.
Second-down Hassnain Sheikh (24) was bowled out by Abu Hider when Oman’s score was 89 for the loss of three wickets.
Third-down Jiten Ramanandi (20) was dismissed by Jishan Alam when Oman’s total was 113 for the loss of 113 for the loss of four wickets.
Fourth-down Shuaib Al Balushi (0) was bowled out by Jishan Alam when Oman’s innings was concluded.
Jishan Alam bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 12 runs, while Abu Hider, Sohag Gazi and Mohammad Saifuddin took one wicket each instead of 19, 28 and 32 runs respectively.
