The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the country’s premier Investment Promotion Agency (IPA), has launched its newly revamped website-signaling a major step forward in enhancing the investor experience and strengthening Bangladesh’s investment narrative.
Sources said, the updated platform showcases high-potential sectors outlined in BIDA’s FDI Heatmap and offers simplified access to essential services, policy guidance, and key contact points across relevant ministries and agencies.
It is designed to support both potential and existing investors. Alongside the website, BIDA has also introduced a redesigned logo, reflecting its renewed focus on a modern, investor-oriented approach.
“Global investors often shortlist destinations based on the quality and usability of IPA websites,” noted Nahian Rahman Rochi, Head of Business Development at BIDA.
“These platforms are instrumental in delivering information, managing investor queries, and projecting national competitiveness. A strategically built website can be the deciding factor for whether an investor proceeds or looks elsewhere.
That’s why BIDA’s new website is built around the entire investor journey-from opportunity discovery and market assessment to ecosystem connection and project execution.”
“The previous BIDA website followed a traditional government portal model and lacked investor-centric features. It wasn’t equipped to actively support investment facilitation,” said Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of BIDA.
