The price of each of which is 1 to 3 lakh taka. So they are not able to sleep peacefully at night due to the fear of theft.

Monowar Hossain Khan alias Mithu, chairman of Khanmarich Union Parishad admitted the incident of cow theft in Satbaria and Khanmarich villages and said that a night watch has been arranged by village police and villagers. It is reported that similar measures have been taken in Bhangura, Parbhangura, Ashtamanisha, Mondutosh, and Dilpashar unions of the upazila.

Md. Nazmul Haque, Officer-in-charge of Bhangura police station, said that three miscreants were killed in a mass thrashing in Pachh Bituan village under the upazila on the night of January 6 in the case of cow theft.
