A Bailey Bridge over the Baral River at Bhangura in Pabna has become a major obstacle to modern road connectivity. Due to this, there has been a demand to remove the Bailey bridge and construct an RCC cast bridge there.
It is known on the surface that in 1987, the Pabna Roads and High way Department constructed this Bailey Bridge over the Baral River at BhanguraUpazilaSadar. Later, during the renovation, the width of the bridge was shortened to 12 feet, making the bridge narrower. If a three-wheeled van gets on it, bus-truck, car-microbus can’t travel. And when the truck gets up, public movement becomes risky. As a result, heavy traffic jam is created. Lines of vehicles stood on both sides of the bridge. Passengers are suffering as well as traders are struggling to transport goods.
