The 39th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh General Insurance Co. PLC. (BGIC) was held on Wednesday virtually at it’s head office.
At the beginning a special Dua was offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls of BGIC’s Founder late M.A. Samad and other member who departed earlier including with the presented Shareholders. Chairman of the Company Towhid Samd Chaired the Meeting. A large number of Shareholders including Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of the Company were present on the meeting. BGIC, the first General Insurance Company in the private sector of Bangladesh approved 10% Cash Dividend on enhanced paid up capital of approximately Tk. 54.03 crore for the year 2023.
The meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairman Salim Bhuiyan, Public Director Md. Shakil Rizvi, Nominated Director Mohammad Manjur Mahmud, Independent Director Nasir Uddin Chowdhury and Senior Officers.
Saifuddin Ahmed, Assistant Managing Director & Company Secretary Conducted the meeting smoothly.
