Bangladesh Girl Guides Association (BGGA), Barishal Region on the occasion of International Mother’s Day-2025 held discussion and honouring guide-mothers at Barishal Guide House on Saturday 17 May 2025.
Ms Upma Farisa, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Education and ICT, Barishal, was present as the chief guest at the program.
She called to grow girl-children as future guide for making the ideal nation .
The event was presided over by Jahan Ara Begum, Barishal Regional Commissioner of BGGA and moderated by Deepali Bain, Regional Treasurer, assisted by Nazneen Islam, Junior Trainer.
Begum Faizun Nahar, former Regional Commissioner, Hasin Ara Begum, Regional Secretary, Commissioners and members of District and Local Committees of Bangladesh Girl Guides Association were present as guests in the programme.
A total of 200 participants includingGuides, Headmasters from various institutions, Wise Birds, Yellow Bird Flocks, Rangers were also attended in the programme.
Three best mothersof 2025 including Momtaz Begum, Jasmine Naharand Momtaz Parveen were awarded on these occasion.
Also, two guide members Ajita Rani Samaddar, Head Teacher (Retd), and Fazilatunnesa Farid, were honored for their contribution to guiding activities at the event.
