BGB operation on Sylhet border seizes Indian goods worth around 1.5 cr taka

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large amount of Indian goods in separate operations in the border areas under the jurisdiction of Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB).
These operations were conducted early today (September 22).
Indian cows, motorcycle meters, fuchkas and various motorcycle parts were seized in the operations conducted by BGB’s Banglabazar and Bichnakandi BOPs. On the other hand, a special patrol team from the battalion headquarters conducted a task force operation in the Ferighat area of ​​Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet district and seized Indian sarees, lehengas, than cloth and a large amount of medicines.
The estimated Caesar value of the goods seized in the operation is estimated at 1 crore 43 lakh 85 thousand 500 taka.
In this regard, the commander of Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB) said that as per the instructions of the higher headquarters, the BGB’s operational activities and intelligence activities are continuing to strengthen security in the border areas, prevent smuggling and narcotics. This operation is being conducted in continuation of this.
He further said that all the seized smuggled goods will be handed over for taking necessary action as per the rules.
