The Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) successfully concluded BDF Dialogic 2025 – School-College Chapter with an energetic prize-giving ceremony held in Dhaka, marking the end of a two-day event filled with spirited debates, youth empowerment, and intellectual exchange.
The nationwide competition brought together over 40 teams from schools and colleges, celebrating the power of logical reasoning and dialogue among the country’s brightest young minds. The closing ceremony was attended by BDF President Plaban Gongopaddhay, Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman, Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, and BDF General Secretary Zehad Al Mehedi.
In the Open Category, Dhaka Residential Model College claimed the championship, while Adamjee Cantonment College finished as runner-up. Monipur High School & College secured the top spot in the School Category, with Dhaka Residential Model College again finishing second. In the Novice Category, Faridpur Zilla School made a historic win over RAJUK Uttara Model College. Mushfiqur Rahman Sifat from Savar Cantonment Public School & College was awarded Debater of the Tournament.
Speaking at the ceremony, BDF President Plaban Gongopaddhay said, “Dialogic is not just a tournament — it’s a movement to build a generation of thoughtful, courageous citizens who can lead with logic and empathy.”
This year’s edition emphasized informed democracy, policy reform, and environmental awareness through partnerships with The Earth and the Institute of Informatics and Development (IID). IID curated policy-relevant debate topics, while The Earth promoted environmental consciousness among participants.
Utpal Karmakar, Executive Director of Express Events, which co-hosted the program, said, “This event proves that young voices can shape the national conversation.”
With critical thought, collaboration, and youthful passion at its core, BDF Dialogic 2025 reaffirmed debate as a vital tool for civic engagement and national progress.
