Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi squad left the city on Sunday for Tehran to take part in the Asian Women’s Kabaddi Championship.
The gala kabaddi competition will be geld at Pardis City of Iran from March 4 to March 9. Pardis City is 17 km from Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
Subimal Chandra Das is the Manager-cum-Coach, while Shahnaz Parvin Maleka is the Coach. Sraboni Mallick is the Captain of the team.
This is the sixth edition of Asian Women’s Kabaddi Championship. The mega kabaddi meet started in the year of 2005. Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi team clinched the bronze medal in the first edition of Asian Women’s Kabaddi Championship.
Coach Maleka is optimistic that Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi team will clinch the bronze medal this year.
Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi team took part at a residential coaching camp at National Women’s Sports Complex in the capital’s Dhanmondi from January 10.
