Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team will face Bhutan Under-20 Women’s Football team in their fourth match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-20 Women’s Championship at the Practice Ground of the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital today. The match will kick-off at 7.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the match-venue.
Bangladesh made an auspicious start thrashing Sri Lanka 9-1 in their first match at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on July 11. Sagorika hit a hat-trick and Munki Akhter scored two goals.
Bangladesh beat Nepal by 3-2 goals in their second match at the same venue on July 13.
Sogorika scored one goal but she was showed red card. Thus, she could not play her next match.
The red-and-green outfit defeated Bhutan 4-1 in their third match at Bashundhara Kings Arena and the Practice Ground of Bashundhara Kings on July 15. Shanti Marda hit a hat-trick. Munki Akhter scored one goal.
On the other hand, Bhutan tasted a 1-6 goals defeat to Nepal in their first match at Bashundhara Kings Arena on July 11.
Bhutan bounced back in their second match as they defeated Sri Lanka 5-0 at the same venue on July 13.
Captain of Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team Afeida Khandaker said, ” The last match against Bhutan was a tough task for us. The match was held in the two grounds. We had to wait three hours before the second-half of the match. We had a recovery session today. Our Head Coach Peter Butler was with us. He gave us tips to us. He suggested us to what we shall do in the next match. I hope we shall do better in the tomorrow’s match.”
