Bangladesh Cricket team will take on United States of America (USA) Cricket team in their first Twenty20 International (T20I) at Houston in Texas of USA today.
The match will start at 9:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite channel Nagorik TV will telecast the match live. Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket squad Chandika Hathurusingha spent time to prepare his team for the ICC T20 World Cup. Stewart Law, the Head Coach of the USA Cricket squad has prepared his team. Stewart Law is familiar to Bangladesh. Stewart Law, the former Australia batter was Bangladesh’s head coach in 2012, and more recently the Bangladesh Under-19 coach. Before taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies which will be held from June 2 to June 29, Bangladesh and USA will play a three-match T20I series at the same venue. The other two T20I matches will be held on May 23 and May 25.
It may be mentioned that before today’s match, Bangladesh and USA never took part in any T20I match.
According to the latest ICC T20I rankings, Bangladesh have taken the ninth spot, while USA have taken the 19th position.
Marking the upcoming T20I match, members of Bangladesh Cricket team took part in a full-fledged practice session at the match venue on Monday.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member Bangladesh Cricket squad for the ensuing ICC T20 World Cup and also three-match T20I series against hosts and newcomers USA.
On the other hand, USA Cricket Association announced the 15-member T20I squad for the ICC T20 World Cup and also the three-match T20I squad against Bangladesh.
