Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Cricket team will leave today for Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia to take part in the upcoming ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Cricket squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup, which is scheduled to be held at the different venues of Malaysia.
Sumaiya Akter will lead Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Cricket squad as the Captain, while Afia Ashima will assist her as the Vice-Captain.
A total of 16 team’s splitting into four groups will take part in the first phase of the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup.
Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka and West Indies are in Group-A, England, Ireland, Pakistan, USA are in Group-B, New Zealand, South Africa, Nigeria, Samoa are in Group-C, Bangladesh, Australia, Nepal and Scotland are in Group-D.
Bangladesh will take on Nepal on January 18, Bangladesh will face Australia on January 20, the Junior Tigresses will meet Scotland on January 22.
Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Cricket squad: Sumaiya Akter (Captain), Afia Ashima (Vice-Captain), Eva, Fahomida Choya, Habiba Islam, Juairiya Ferdous, Fariya Akter, Farjana Easmin, Anisa Akter, Sumaiya Akter Suborna, Nishita Akter Nishi, Lucky Khatun, Jannatul Maoua, Sadia Akter and Sadia Islam.
The standbys are: Ashrafi Yeasmin Arthy, Leky Chakma, Arvin Tani and Maharun Nesa.
