Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s Football team thrashed Nepal Under-17 Women’s Football team by four goals to one in their fourth match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-17 Women’s Championship at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan on Wednesday. Sauravi Akanda Prity hit a hat-trick.
Thuinuye Marma opened their account after dribbled past three Nepalese defenders and struck the ball into the goalbar after deceiving the Nepalese goalie in the 38th minute of the match.
Prity doubled the margin by a left footer using a through pass of her teammate Mamoni Chakma in the injury time of the first half.
Bhumika of Nepal pulled off one just before the lemon-break. After the intervals, Prity made it 3-1 by tapping the ball into the blank net capitalizing a corner kick of her teammate Mamoni Chakma in the 71st minute of the match.
Prity fulfilled her hat-trick and sealed the fate of the match in the 86th minute of the match. She got the ball on her way utilizing a cross of her teammate Purnima Chakma. Bangladesh gained nine points from four matches. On the other hand, India collected 12 points from four matches.
So, Bangladesh have to win rest of the matches. Then, they have to earn better goal difference than India if Bangladesh want to clinch the title of the SAFF Under-17 Women’s Championship.
