Leading Bangladeshi light engineering companies have participated in the premier international consumer electronic exhibition, the Comex Singapore 2025. The event took place from March 13-16, 2025 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore where Bangladesh was represented at booth no. 8403 of Hall 403 & 404, Level 4 titled “Meet Bangladesh” to promote the light engineering sector. The remarkable companies representing the light engineering sector of Bangladesh are Laxfo, Bogura Motors, Lumen, Data Soft Manufacturing and Triple S Electronics.
This Meet Bangladesh Show (MBS) is introduced by Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project under the Ministry of Commerce financed by World Bank to showcase the light engineering sector of Bangladesh. The primary objective of EC4J project is to strengthen export market linkages for light engineering sector by showcasing Bangladesh as a credible sourcing destination. The MBS expects to strengthen Bangladesh’s presence in global markets and position it as an attractive sourcing destination- says the organizer of the project.
The sector shows remarkable growth potential, driven by rising demand for locally made products and the adoption of technology-driven manufacturing and digital solutions. The light-engineering sector supports key industries like agriculture, construction, and automobiles, employing around eight lakh people and fostering local manufacturing and import substitution.
