BD-Pak 2nd Test starts today

After defeating Pakistan National Cricket team by 10 wickets in the first Test cricket match on August 25 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi of Pakistan, the spirited Bangladesh National Cricket team will take on the home side in the second Test cricket match at the same venue today. Najumul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh National Cricket team, while Shan Masood will lead Pakistan National Cricket team.

The two-Test match cricket series between Bangladesh and Pakistan is part of ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

The Day 1 play will start at 11:00am (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports and private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live. If the Tigers win the second Test, Bangladesh will whitewash Pakistan. On the other hand, if the second Test will be ended in a draw, Bangladesh will clinch the Test series (1-0). If the home side win the second Test, Pakistan will draw the Test series 1-1.

Bangladesh have experienced batters Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque, Litton Das, promising batter Shadman Islam and all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Bangladesh have prolific pacers Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and promising pacer Hasan Mahmud. The touring side has left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan and right-arm spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
On the other hand, Pakistan have experienced batters Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and promising Saud Shakil.

Pakistan have prolific pacer Naseem Shah and promising pacer Mir Hamza. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has got recess due to personal reasons. Besides, spinner Abrar Ahmed has been included in the Pakistan team.

It may be mentioned that Bangladesh National Cricket squad and Pakistan National Cricket squad could not take part in their respective practice sessions yesterday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium due to inclement weather.
The Day 1 play of the first Test was started at 3.15pm due to rain.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Thursday the 12-member Pakistan cricket team for the ensuing second Test.

Bangladesh National Cricket squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed and Khaled Ahmed.

Pakistan Cricket team : Shan Masood (Captain), Saud Shakil, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha.
