BD-Nepal last match of SAFF U-20 Women’s Champ today

Favourites Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team will meet Nepal Under-20 Women’s Football team in their sixth and last match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-20 Women’s Championship at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital today. The match will kick-off at 7:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena. It is a good news for Bangladesh that their key player Sagorika will play in the match against Nepal.

The football competition is a round-robin league meet. The highest-point taker team will be the champions of the prestigious competition. Bangladesh emerged the champions in the four editions among the five competition.

Defending champions Bangladesh women collected maximum 15 points from five matches.
On the other hand, Nepal women gained 12 points from as many outings.

Bangladesh need just a draw in the today’s match to clinch the championship trophy.

Bangladesh made a formidable start in their SAFF Under-20 Women’s Championship campaign defeating Sri Lanka 9-1 in their first match at the same venue on July 11.

Bangladesh retained their supremacy edging past Nepal by 3-2 goals in their second match at the same venue on July 13.

Bangladesh kept their winning row defeating Bhutan 4-1 in their third match at Practice Ground of Bashundhara Kings Arena on July 15.

Bangladesh maintained their all-win record after eased past Bhutan 3-0 in their fourth match at the same venue on July 17.

The girls of Peter Butler went goal feast after blanking Sri Lanka 5-0 in their fifth match at the same venue on July 19.

Nepal made a superb start thrashing Bhutan 6-1 in their first match on July 11.
Nepal bounced back defeating Sri Lanka 7-0 in their third match on July 15.

Nepal retained their winning streak after eased past Sri Lanka in their fourth match on July 17.
Nepal kept their winning streak defeating Bhutan eight goals to nil in their fifth matc on July 19.
It may be mentioned that Nepal is the only team, which fought against the high-flying Bangladesh.

Besides, a lot of scorers are in Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team who showed their spectacular performance against their opponent teams. Sagorika hit a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in their first match and Shanti Mardi scored a hat-trick against Bhutan in their third match.
