Bangladesh Cricket team will leave the city for Pakistan tomorrow to play three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan Cricket team at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the first T20I on May 28, Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the second T20I on May 30, the Tigers will meet Pakistan in the second T20I on June 1. All the matches will start at 9:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
The Pakistan Government will deploy Pakistan Army for the security during the three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan, according to a television channel of Bangladesh.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan and India engaged in a military clash recently. After finishing the war, the tour of Pakistan was uncertain due to security concern. Earlier, it was scheduled that Bangladesh and Pakistan would play a five-match T20I series. Later, the officials of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took part in a meeting at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They were agreed that Bangladesh and Pakistan will play three-match T20I series instead of five-match T20I series. After that, the Interim Government of Bangladesh has given green signal to BCB, Thus, the tour of Bangladesh was finalised.
