The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officially revealed the jersey that the Tigers will be sporting in the upcoming T20 World Cup, set to take place the USA and the West Indies.
The 15-member T20 World Cup squad, fresh off a 2-1 series defeat against the USA, proudly showcased the new jersey in a photo posted on BCB’s Facebook page.
The jersey, set against a backdrop of traditional green, features striking red stripes running from the neck to the wrist on long sleeves, with golden lining adorning each side of the torso.
To fine-tune their preparations for the World Cup, Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches, facing off against the USA and India on May 28 and June 1, respectively.
The T20 World Cup begins on June 2, with Bangladesh opening their campaign against Sri Lanka on June 8 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, USA.
They will then go head-to-head with South Africa at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 10.
The action will then shift to the West Indies for the Tigers, who will wrap up their Group D fixtures with matches against the Netherlands and Nepal on June 13 and 17, respectively.
