The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Tamim Iqbal’s family on Monday requested the Nation for continued prayers and blessings for the former captain Tamim Iqbal’s early recovery as he suffered a cardiac arrest last morning at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Ground in Savar.
The incident happened during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket match between Mohammedan Sporting Club, led by Tamim and Shinepukur Cricket Club.
Tamim received immediate emergency medical treatment after being transferred to the nearby KPJ Specialized Hospital, where he underwent a successful angiogram procedure to address a blockage in one of the arteries of his heart.
