BCB announces Test squad for Pakistan series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday the 16-member Bangladesh Test squad for the upcoming two-match Pakistan Test series. Bangladesh Test squad will leave the city for Pakistan today to play the Test series. Earlier, Bangladesh Test squad were scheduled to leave the country on August 17.
The first Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan will be held at Rawalpindi in Pakistan from August 21 to August 25. The second Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan will take place at Karachi in Pakistan from August 30 to September 3.
Shakib Al Hasan has been included in the 16-member Test squad.
Shahadat Hossain Dipu was dropped from the squad. Experienced Mushfiqur Rahim could not play in his last series.
The players, who have been chosen, are: Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Shoriful Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana.
