The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday the 16-member Bangladesh Cricket squad for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan. It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Cricket squad returned to the capital from Sri Lanka yesterday.
Bangladesh clinched the three-match T20I series 2-1 against Sri Lanka at the different venues across Sri Lanka recently. So, the BCB has not changed the Bangladesh T20I squad against Pakistan which squad took part against Sri Lanka recently. The Tigers created history as they won a T20I series against Sri Lanka recently. It was for the first time Bangladesh clinched a T20I series against Sri Lanka at the soil of Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the first T20I at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka on July 10.
Bangladesh bounced back and took a sweet revenge after defeating Sri Lanka by 83 runs in the second T20I at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Sri Lanka on July 13.
Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the third T20I at Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 16 and made a history.
Captain of Bangladesh T20I Cricket team Litton Das retained his captaincy for the forthcoming T20I series against Pakistan. The three-match T20I series between Bangladesh and Pakistan will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
The Tigers will take on Pakistan in the first T20I on July 20. Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the second T20I on July 22. The hosts will meet the tourists in the third T20I on July 24. All the matches will start at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
