The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday the 15-member Bangladesh Cricket squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan have been dropped out from the squad.
Besides, pacer Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam have been not called in the squad. Ace opener Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement from ODI cricket. So, he will not take part in the Champions Trophy. In-form batter Afif Hossain has not been included in the squad. Parvez Hossain Emon has been included in the squad.
Najmul Hossain Shanto has retained his captaincy. Experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim, promising batter Towhid Hridoy, Mustfizur Rahman have been included in the squad.
Soumya Sarkar and Tanzid Hasan will open Bangladesh’s innings as openers.
