The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Monday the 15-member Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team for Top End T20 Series in Australia from August 4 to August 24. Ace wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has been named the captain of Bangladesh ‘A’ team. The Top End T20 Series will be held at Darwin in Australia. After the year of 2024, Bangladesh will take part in the Top End T20 Series. Bangladesh ‘A’ team will leave the city for Australia on August 7. The Top End T20 Series is a Twenty20 Cricket Tournament.
Apart from Top End T20 Series, Bangladesh will play a four-day cricket match against South Australia.
A total of 11 teams including outfits of Big Bash League will compete in the Top End T20 series. Bangladesh ‘A’ team will play against Pakistan ‘A’ team in their first match on August 14. Bangladesh ‘A’ team will take on Nepal ‘A’ team in their second match on August 16. Bangladesh will face Perth Scorchers in their third match on August 17. The second string of Bangladesh National Cricket team will meet Northern Territory Strikers in their fourth match on August 19. Bangladesh ‘A’ team will play against Melbourne Stars in their fifth match on August 21. Bangladesh ‘A’ will face Adelaide Strikers in their sixth match on August 23. It is noteworthy that Perth Scorchers, Northern Territory Strikers, Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers are taking part in the Big Bash League of Australia.
The semi-finals and final will be held on August 24.
Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team: Nurul Hasan (Captain), Saif Hassan, Mohammad Naim, Jishan Alam, Mahidul Islam, Yasir Ali, Afif Hossain, Tofael Ahmed, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, Rakibul Hasan, Mahfuzur Rahman, Nayeem Hasan, Mushfik Hasan, Ripon Mondol and Hasan Mahmud.
